Karnan 2021 Indian Tamil language action drama film Karnan directed by Mary Selvaraj and produced by Kalipuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations. The film stars Dhanush, Lal, Yogi Babu, Azgam Perumal, Natarajan Subrahmanyam, Rajisha Vijayan, Gauri G. Kishan and Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli.The film has music by Santosh Narayanan, cinematography by Theni Eswar and editing by Selva RK.It was released in theaters on April 9, 2021.

Karan, a young man from a fearless village, must fight for the rights of the people of his village. The people of this village belong to the marginalized population, which has been oppressed for decades, mainly by the influential caste groups in the region, supporting government officials and the police who want to suppress them. The story depicts their struggles, injustices and finally the heroes and their rise against the racism and police brutality of the whole village.
Filming: - Karthik Subbaraj's Netflix film, Jagme Thandhiram's shooting wrapper, Dhanush Tirunelveli joined the film set on January 3. A simple launch of the film was held on January 6, 2020, and the original photography began on the same day Marie Selvaraj and art director T. A replica of a village in Ramalingam district recreated the miniature model.
In November 2019, Santosh started music production of the film with some folk artists across Tamil Nadu. The music album marketed by Thing Music has a total of seven tracks, including four songs and three instruments; "Kanda Vara Solunga", "Manjanathi Puranam" and "Thantan Thantan" three songs have been released as singles. "was released on March 7, 2021 with the soundtrack album, a release ceremony was held on the same day.
Karnan began streaming on Prime Video from 14 May 2021
